        EPS = Earnings Per Share (EPS) is the amount of annual profit (after tax and all other expenses) attributable to each share in a company. EPS is calculated by dividing profit by the average number of shares on issue.

        EV = Electric Vehicle

        GEM equity funds = Global Emerging Markets equity funds

        P/E = Price-to-Earnings Ratio (P/E Ratio) is a valuation ratio of a company's current share price compared to its per-share earnings.

        ROIC = ROIC stands for Return on Invested Capital and is a profitability ratio that aims to measure the percentage return that a company earns on invested capital.

        PBOC = People’s Bank of China

        SARS = Severe acute respiratory syndrome. Considered the first emerging epidemic of the 21st century, SARS emerged in Asia in February 2003 and spread to more than two dozen countries in North America, South America, Europe, and Asia before being contained.

        SOE reform = State-owned enterprise reform
